MIPH / Stapler Surgery for Piles
Advanced Treatment for Prolapsed Piles
MIPH (Minimally Invasive Procedure for Hemorrhoids), commonly known as Stapler Surgery, is an advanced surgical method used to treat piles that come out during motion (prolapsed piles).
It is less painful than traditional open surgery and allows faster recovery.

What is MIPH / Stapler Surgery?
In this procedure, a special circular stapling device is used to:
- Lift the prolapsed piles back to their normal position
- Cut off excess tissue
- Reduce the blood supply to the swollen veins
This helps shrink the piles and prevent them from coming out again.
Unlike open surgery, there are:
- No external large wounds
- Less post-operative pain
- Faster healing
Who is Suitable for Stapler Surgery?
MIPH is usually recommended for:
- Grade 3 piles (piles coming out during motion)
- Selected Grade 4 piles
- Patients with circumferential prolapse
- Patients want a less painful surgical option
It is not always suitable for large external piles. A proper examination is required.
